Sammy Day's Mother Passes

Copyright WHR 2006 - Ruby Lee Hollingsworth Day, 86, passed away this morning after an extended illness. The beloved mother of trainer Sammy Day had been here in Shelbyville with the Day family since this past Celebration. She suffered from Alzheimers.

Visitation with the family will be held at Oldham Roberts and Powell Funeral Home in Richmond, Kentucky, on Wednesday, Feburary 8 from 5-7p.m. The funeral will also be at the funeral home on Thursday at 2:00 p.m.
