SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. - The Sand Creek Spring Jubilee Sale was held on Saturday, May 24, 2008, during the Spring Fun Show at Sand Creek Farm in Shelbyville, Tenn. The sale showcased top broodmares, pleasure and show horses. The Café At The Creek served delicious food and refreshments while Sand Creek’s full time staff made sure the day went smoothly. The sale began at 10 a.m. Mickey McCormick rode World Champion Generator’s Top Dollar through the sale, but did not sell.
The top selling horse was My Anna Nicole. Barbara Kenehan was the seller and Sherman Fuqua of Montgomery, Ala., was the buyer. Miss Copy’s Loose was the second top seller. Waterfall Farms sold her and Jack Bailey of Lawrence, Kan., was the buyer. Naughty was in the top three. James T. Flack of Tallahassee was the seller and Leo Chase was the buyer from Bethel, Ohio. Eb Strikes Again was sold by Sand Creek Farm to Alan Riddley of Gastonia, N.C., and was the fourth top seller. Dangerously Diva was sold by Chris Sullivan from Cane Ridge, Tenn., and was bought by Walkers Corner Walking Horses of Scott, Ark., and rounded out the five top selling horses.
Sand Creek’s next sale will be the Celebration Sale on Aug. 22 and 23, 2008. It will have quality broodmares, pleasure horses and show horses. Three days after that will be the Sand Creek’s Yearling Festival Sale, Aug. 26-30, 2008. The entry deadline to be in both sales is Aug. 1, 2008.
