DUNLAP, Tenn. - On Saturday, June 28, 2008, the O K Hege Memorial Horse Show was held in Dunlap, Tenn. Escaping the rain, the show was judged by Carlton House who tied 19 walking horses classes. Hal Newman and Sensational Premier were crowned the Walking Stake Champions, making this the team’s fifth win and first stake victory. Melton and Latithia Oran own this champion.

The show was stopped when Barbara Bell’s horse ran off and threw her onto the asphalt. Bell was knocked unconscious and suffered a head injury. They did life flight her to the nearest hospital but we are glad to report she went home a few days later.

Multiple blues were won by Jeff Willis Stables, Shamrock Farms, Jerry Beaty Stables, Jeff Givens Stables, Hal Newman Stables and Bobby Fann Stables.
