SHOW Finance Committee Makes Plans
Friday, May 29, 2009
The Finance Committee appointed by SHOW held their first meeting during the Fun Show and voted to recommend that all fees currently in place be maintained for the balance of the year. SHOW is suffering financially due to the lack of entries but increasing fees would cause more harm than good, according to the Committee.
Chairman Bob Medina hosted Mike Inman, Tommy Hall and David Howard for the hour long meeting. The Committee is working on budget recommendations for the balance of the year as well as long term budgeting, incorporating new programs that SHOW is considering.
The Committee also announced that all of their meetings would be open to the public and recommended that the monthly financial statement of the SHOW HIO be published.
There was a discussion of the amateur cards and the revenue they generate; the need to help shows make more money for their charities and the proper method to communicate the Committee’s suggestions and ideas to the SHOW board.
