The SHOW HIO has issued an immediate lifetime suspension to Barney Davis for a pressure shoeing violation at the 21st Annual Mid-Season National Spotted Saddle Horse Show in Manchester, Tenn. The violation occurred on July 30, 2010.
During the inspection, the entry was also cited for a unilateral sensitivity violation as well as a bad image violation. Per the SHOW rulebook and penalty structure, pressure shoeing carries a lifetime suspension. As part of the suspension, Davis will not be allowed on the grounds of any show, sale or event that is affiliated with the SHOW HIO. Under the rules of SHOW, Davis will have the right to appeal the above-stated violations and corresponding penalty within 20 days of the date of the Notice of Violation.
