SHOW Issues March Report

There were five events affiliated with SHOW in March and the inspection numbers continue to be impressive. SHOW inspected 1,167 horses with 24 violations or 2.1%. Eleven of the violations were for the scar rule, 9 foreign substance, 2 unilateral, 1 bilateral and 1 illegal shoeing.
The numbers for the first quarter of the year ending in March are even more encouraging. Year-to-date, SHOW has affiliated 8 events and inspected 1,514 entries with 25 violations for a compliance percentage of 98.3%
SHOW DQP’s report a consistent improvement in the condition of the horses. The busy part of show season is fast approaching and continued efforts on the part of trainers and exhibitors are very important.

For those who prefer to enter in person, the show office will be open each day from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

The SCWHA has announced a date and location change for the Championship Show. Originally scheduled for October 10–11 in Clemson, the event will now take place November 7–8 at the South Carolina State Fairgrounds in Columbia, SC. This change allows the association to avoid overlapping with larger multi-day shows in October while also reducing event costs by more than $15,000.
