The SHOW HIO met February 25, 2010 with the Kentucky Breeders’ Incentive Fund Committee in an effort to be approved to affiliate shows and participate in the program.  Representing the SHOW HIO were President Dr. Stephen L. Mullins, Dr. John Bennett and Director of DQP’s Tony Edwards.

SHOW gave a presentation outlining the operations of the SHOW HIO and its progress over the last year.  The Kentucky Breeders’ Incentive Fund awards monies to Kentucky-bred colts for entries at Kentucky horse shows.

“We appreciate Ms. Jamie Eads and her committee giving us the opportunity to present and further explain the operations of SHOW.  It is our goal to enforce the HPA and ensure only compliant horses are in show rings across the country,” said Mullins.

He continued, “I also appreciate the recommendation from the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ & Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) and Walking Horse Owners’ Association (WHOA).  Both Stan Butt and Frank Neal have been very supportive of our efforts over the last several months.”
