SHOW Modifies Dotson Suspension
Friday, October 1, 2010
SHOW President Dr. Steve Mullins has announced a change in the lifetime suspension issued to Wayne Dotson in 2009. His lifetime suspension remains in effect except he will now be allowed to attend any SHOW function as a spectator.
Mr. Dotson was the person leading the horse in the Chris Zahnd incident in 2009. Mullins based his decision to modify the penalty due to the level of cooperation from Dotson during the investigation of the incident and his health situation.
“Mr. Dotson was most cooperative with SHOW during the investigation, has been a model person on suspension and was terminated the morning after the incident in question. In addition, he has been diagnosed with a serious illness and would like to be able to attend shows”, Mullins said. “We appreciate his cooperation, his conduct on suspension and wish him the best with his illness”.
