SHOW Rules Committee announces changes
Thursday, May 11, 2017
The SHOW Rules Committee would like to announce the following:
The All Day Pleasure shoe size has been modified to correspond with other groups that offer the class. The new maximum shoe size for All Day Pleasure is now 3/8” thick X ¾” wide.
Also to clarify for show management the offering of Open Trail Pleasure and/or Open Country Pleasure with corresponding classes of Amateur Trail Pleasure and Amateur Country Pleasure:
Country Pleasure classes may be both specialty or canter but to have a Country Pleasure canter class at a show, a specialty class must also be offered. This same rule applies to an Open Country Pleasure class. For a show to offer an Open Country Pleasure class, an Amateur Country Pleasure class must also be offered within the same age division. Ex. If a class for horses age 2, 3 or 4 is offered then any combination of classes can be offered. For instance, Two Year Old Open Country Pleasure and a Four & Under Amateur Country Pleasure.
Trail Pleasure classes may be both specialty or canter but to have a Trail Pleasure canter class at a show, a specialty class must also be offered. This same rule applies to an Open Trail Pleasure class. For a show to offer an Open Trail Pleasure class, an Amateur Trail Pleasure class must also be offered within the same age division. Ex. If a class for horses age 2, 3 or 4 is offered then any combination of classes can be offered. For instance, Two Year Old Open Trail Pleasure and a Four & Under Amateur Trail Pleasure.
