SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. – The National Horse Show Commission held its 2009 Judges’ Applicant School on Feb. 14, 2009, in the Calsonic Arena in Shelbyville, Tenn. Jamie Hankins of Paris, Ky., greeted the 20 new applicants and the six that missed the December meeting. Hankins briefly went over the general judging rules and procedures in the Hall of Fame room before they sent the applicants out to the arena to listen to the speakers on the different divisions.

Bobby Richards of Franklin, Tenn., discussed the halter and model divisions, Leigh Bennett of Alvaton, Ky., went over the pleasure, equitation and academy divisions and Jamie Hankins ended with the performance division.
