A contact was brought to the attention of SHOW HIO officials which, if true, would constitute a violation of Rule IX B.3(h) which prohibits the influencing or attempting to influence by any means or manner any DQP in determining the eligibility of any horse entering any class at any affiliated show or event.

A preliminary investigation was conducted and the allegation was found to have merit.  Because the gravity of the circumstances SHOW HIO found it appropriate to suspend an exhibitor, Clay Mills of Mount Airy, NC, immediately and indefinitely and will seek a five year suspension and $25,000 fine.
