SHOW Terminates Director Of Judges

The SHOW HIO has terminated the employment of its Director of Judges Rollie Beard effective immediately.  The position of director of judges is also being eliminated within SHOW and no replacement for Beard will be named.

“I appreciate Rollie’s employment with SHOW.  It became apparent to me that moving forward SHOW needed to move in a different direction with regards to its judging program and we will begin work on that immediately,” said SHOW President Dr. Stephen L. Mullins.

In place of the director of judges, SHOW will appoint a judges oversight committee with trainer, owner and independent representation.  “I will rely heavily on this committee with regards to all matters of judging.  This includes but is not limited to the recruitment of new judges and the development of those judges and future judging initiatives. However all disciplinary action will be handled by SHOW.  Judging is a major part of our industry as it relates to compliance and marketability of our horse.  A major focus of SHOW in 2011 will be improving our judging program,” concluded Mullins.
