I profoundly regret my impulsive reaction to the disqualification of The Golden Sovereign in the final class of the 2010 Fun Show.  I sincerely apologize to the Celebration, the judging panel, Show HIO, my owners, the horse show fans and friends for my unsportsmanlike behavior.

We can debate whether The Golden Sovereign should have been disqualified Saturday night. However, I should have shown respect for the judges’ decision and I take full responsibility for my actions.

I am proud of my contributions to the Tennessee Walking Horse and will continue to give my time and energy to this great breed.  We all learn from our experiences, both good and bad.  I will take from these events the responsibility to lead by example and always remember to be a consummate professional.

Sincerely yours,

David Landrum
