ELKHORN, Wis. – The Wisconsin Summer Classic and Versatility Show, held June 7-8, added up to 229 entries. Judge Tracy Boyd had his hands full judging the 63 classes. The often used facilities of the Walworth County Fairgrounds in Elkhorn, Wis., was the location. Once again, Mother Nature poured down rain on both days. Luckily, the arena had a roof.

There were many multi-blue ribbon winners, but topping them all was a young lady named Chelsey Hribar, who with her mother, Tracy’s, new horse, Pride’s Dusty Carbon, carried home eight blue ribbons. The most winning versatility horse with six blue ribbons streaming from his bridle was Eb’s Ram Rod, owned by Sue Clement and shown by Sue and Andria Madison. Little Andria had quite a day, winning four classes with grandmother Kim Sizer’s Bum’s Pure Dynamite.

Two others with four big ones were Bay On The Loose, owned by Amy Gourlay and ridden by Amy and her dad, Chuck Spinelli; and Amanda Huebner who wasn’t far behind her mother, Terre, in the win department. She was on Whim Of A Madman, also happy with four nice victories.

With three walks each down victory lane were Dollar Stock and Denise Bekeris and Designed By Cash and Martha Crawford. Those horse/rider combinations collecting two number one ribbons were Pride’s Lexus and Cheryl Berres for Karen Parker, Stormy’s Afternoon Surprise and Teresa Dietz, Jenny-Lou Fame Trixie and Rebecca, Coppertop’s Walkie Talkie and Jenny Kippley and Jimmy Hollywood and Deb DeRosso.

Those happily accepting one big blue win were Extra Agent and Amanda Huebner, Exception To The Rule and Jenny Kippley, Our Gamblin Spirit and Jacob Schultz for Karen Parker, Twilight Surprise and Teresa Dietz, I’m Takin Charge and Leslie Kowalski and two for Carl Dickson with Image’s Fancy Brandy and Dillon Generated My Color, Wyatt Upchurch up, and Generator’s Fifth Alarm with Will Kowalkski.
