The Tennessee Walking Horse Foundation, Inc. was reactivated in February 2008. As an independent organization, the foundation is here to provide much needed funding for projects that support and promote the Tennessee Walking Horse. The foundation will be involved in many aspects of the industry including performance, pleasure, versatility, trail rides, various riding programs, scholarships, historical preservation, and scientific studies. As a 501(c) 3, all donations made to the Foundation are tax deductible.
The newly elected board of directors has been very active in reviewing the goals and programs of the organization to insure the best interests of the breed are met. The Foundation will also be involved in charitable, educational, and scientific projects focusing on the welfare of the Tennessee Walking Horse.
The Foundation is proud to announce the newly constructed website is now online at www.tennesseewalkinghorsefoundation.org. The website is a work in progress and will be updated often. There are several initiatives currently under review, which will be added to the web site along with more details on available programs.
All interested parties are asked to go to the website and help the Foundation work to promote our breed. Also, please look for future announcements regarding the implementation of Tennessee Walking Horse Foundation programs.
