Dear Friends,

To say that I am at a loss for words would be an understatement.  Somehow mere words just do not seem adequate to convey the deep, heartfelt thanks that my friends, my church, and my horse show family deserve.  Since my cancer diagnosis some six months ago, you have offered endless support through phone calls, letters, rides to treatments, food and, most of all, your prayers.  The outpouring of love and concern has been overwhelming and it was exactly the “medicine” I needed to get me through the difficult days.

And just when I thought you couldn’t do more, you went the extra mile by supporting the benefit in my honor.  Whether you worked to organize the event, donated items for auction, supported it with your attendance or sent a donation – your efforts were greatly appreciated, to say the least.  To see and feel the great response was extremely humbling.

Although I still feel the words are inadequate, I want to say them anyway – “Thank You” – from the bottom of my heart for all your efforts.  You exemplify the truest meaning of the word “Friends”.

Sincerely,

Brenda Upton
