TWH Museum To Restore Celebration Films

Recently the Tennessee Walking Horse Museum received a grant from the Tennessee Library & Archives. The grant will be used to preserve, restore and digitize historical films.

TWH Museum President, Philip Gentry and Vice President, Paul Cross met today with Celebration CEO, Mike Inman to discuss the restoration and preservation of the old Celebration films. The oldest film found to date was the 1942 Celebration!

“An introductory round of restoration will begin with hopes in getting additional grants to preserve the entire collection of Celebration archives,” stated Inman.

For additional information about the Museum contact Philip Gentry at 931-205-1683. The Celebration and
The Museum would also like to extend an invitation to others who may have videos/films that should be considered for this project.
