On Wednesday, October 19, Marshall County fourth graders enjoyed Ag Day at the Middle Tennessee Ag Research and Education Center in Lewisburg, Tennessee. For many of the students it was the first time for them to get up close and personal with anything agriculture related. They enjoyed many animal exhibits, as well as crop and land presentations and even enjoyed a wheel barrow race. Representing the Tennessee Walking Horse was reigning Youth Country Pleasure World Grand Champions, Diamond At The Ritz and Lexi Smith. Smith spent the morning teaching the students about horses and why the walking horse is different from other breeds. Students enjoyed asking questions and getting to pet on a horse. It was a beautiful day to share this great horse with students.
