LEWISBURG, Tenn. (November 2, 2006) – The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association is pleased to announce the Equitation Challenge Championship Horse Show will be held at Tennessee Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on Saturday night, November 25, 2006, beginning at 7:00 P.M.   The Equitation Challenge is a series of four events showcasing Equitation on both Performance and Plantation Tennessee Walking Horses.  The Championship is the final event in the series.  To qualify for the Equitation Challenge Championship Show, riders must have competed in at least two of three previous dates; July 13, July 27 and August 10.

Equitation is a rider’s ability to ride correctly with a strong, supple position. In an equitation class the rider’s performance and control of their horse is being judged rather than the actual performance of the horse. In a continued effort to showcase quality riders within our industry, TWHBEA is committed to supporting the equitation division.
