The Executive Committee of the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association is committed to the welfare of our horse and strongly supports all aspects and disciplines of this great breed and equally supports the showing of sound Tennessee Walking Horses.

During a conference call on April 28, 2009 the Executive Committee voted to dissolve the TWHBEA HIO in order to better focus on the goals and function of the Registry and the many programs offered to TWHBEA membership.

The Executive Committee is hopeful that the USDA and their certified HIO’s will work together to carry out the Horse Protection Act (HPA), as intended, for the protection of the Tennessee Walking Horse.
