LEWISBURG, Tenn. - Executive Director Ron Thomas of the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) met with Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam yesterday afternoon. He was honored to present the Governor with a numbered edition of the TWHBEA sponsored Tennessee Walking Horse: An American Tradition.

Published in 2010, Tennessee Walking Horse: An American Tradition explores both the history and the current state of the Tennessee Walking Horse. A celebration of our great breed’s history, impact and potential, the book includes an engaging and pictorial history of the Tennessee Walking Horse as well as a breathtaking photo gallery featuring the work of renowned photographers Michael Gomez and Pulitzer Prize winner Robin Hood. It was indeed an honor for TWHEBA to present this representation of one of Tennessee’s greatest ambassadors to the State’s 49th Governor.
