LEWISBURG, Tenn. - Due to a projected budget shortfall of around $240,000, primarily attributable to increased funding for various programs and rising insurance costs, the board of directors of the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders' and Exhibitors' Association (TWHBEA) recently approved a $10 increase in registration and transfer fees, and a $100 increase in the fee for obtaining a duplicate certificate of registration. All other member fees will remain unchanged.

Registration and transfer fees have not been increased since 1990. The new fee structure will go into effect February 1, 2003.
