Editor's Note: The following is a news release from the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders and Exhibitors Association. The Executive Committee of TWHBEA has called an emergency meeting for today. The Report will continue to update this story.
The disappointing ending to last night's performances is unfortunate for walking horse enthusiasts and for the National Celebration. It is critical to the future of our industry that we have a stable show environment. The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeder's and Exhibitor's Association (TWHBEA) Sanctioning Plan was written to standardize the show ring and ensure consistent, fair and equitable inspection processes at the Celebration and at every show across the country throughout the year. The industry must unite and we must develop a solid working relationship with the USDA. We must ensure that inspection procedures are crystal clear for owners, exhibitors and trainers.
