TWHBEA Past Presidents Offer Advice

LEWISBURG, Tenn. – Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) President Marty Irby and Executive Director Ron Thomas met for dinner with several of TWHBEA’s past presidents on April 19, 2011. Those in attendance included Bill Harlin, Charles Gleghorn, Steve Smith, James Welch and Walt Chism. The purpose of the meeting, in addition to enjoying a good meal and good conversation, was to discuss ways to improve the association. Topics covered included methods of increasing membership, ideas for improving customer service, ways to make the association web site more efficient and practices that could make association policies and procedures more easily understood. In these challenging times, TWHBEA is fortunate to have, as a resource, the wealth of experience so generously shared by these knowledgeable gentlemen.
