TWHBEA Show Reignites Negative Press
Friday, September 22, 2006
(Copyright 2006, Walking Horse Report) The announcement by the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders' and Exhibitors' Association of their intention to crown a 2006 World Grand Champion at a new show set for November 24-25 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee has resurrected the controversy from the recent Celebration.
An article in this morning's (Friday, September 22, 2006) Nashville Tennessean deals with the new show but focuses primarily on the controversy surrounding Mike Walden and explains "soring" for their readers one more time. The subhead reads "Owner banned from Celebration can participate" and quotes TWHBEA President Jerrold Pedigo as follows: "We have not excluded any horse from participating. If they meet the requirements of that class and are eligible to show, we have not excluded anyone."
