Bedford Cancer Foundation Sponsors Annual Walking For Cancer Horse Show
Wednesday, March 1, 2017
The Bedford Cancer Foundation is pleased to announce that they will again sponsor The Walking for Cancer Horse Show. This annual horse show is one of the major sources of funds for The Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) corporation. In the past 7 years, the Foundation has provided more than $170,000 in assistance to families in Bedford County who are having financial difficulties due to having cancer.
The horse show will be held at the Champions Arena on The Celebration grounds on Saturday, April 22, 2017 and will feature 30 exciting classes including both flat shod and padded performance horses. Admission is $5.00 with children under 6 being admitted free.
Box seats of 6 are available at $50.00 per box. This year the Bonus Prize will be $500 to the trainer showing the most horses. There will also be added prize money bonus to the Walking Mares & Geldings Canter Rider's Cup Class. Others may be added at a later date.
Again this year there will be an opportunity to have a class named for someone for $500. it will remain that named class for future shows as long as there is a sponsor at the regular $200 sponsorship.
More information will be forthcoming soon but we wanted to go ahead and get this information to you.
Please make your plans to attend and to participate.
For further information, contact Show Manager, Iris Schumann at 931-703-7257 or Co-Chair, Pam Ingraham at 615-504-9580. Contact Karen Inman at 205-238-1126 to reserve your box seat.
