WGC The Black Night Shade Passes



 

 

2004 WGC The Black Night Shade passed away Monday, January 14, 2008 from causes unknown pending an autopsy.

 

Owned by Tom and Judy Waite, The Black Night Shade’s career started in Union City, Tenn., at Formac Stables as a coming Two-Year-Old. Jimmy McConnell was the only trainer to show this beautiful black stallion.

 

This teams career started in 2000 and concluded with over 35 blue ribbons including three world championships and a world grand champion. This also marked the first world grand championship for Tom and Judy Waite and Formac Stables.

 

At the time of his death The Black Night Shade was standing stallion at Joe Martin Stables in Shelbyville, Tenn. We we will update you as more information is received.
