Larry Wheelon, Stacy Gunter, Brandon Lunsford and Blake Primm were indicted by a Blount County Grand Jury on Monday December 2, 2013 on 17 counts of aggravated cruelty to animals.  The charges stem from previous charges filed in April of this year.  During the preliminary hearing which concluded on August 15 all charges were dismissed by Judge Robert Headrick.

During the raid on Wheelon’s barn, 19 horses were seized in April.  After the charges were dismissed against Wheelon on August 15, Judge Headrick ordered all of the horses to be returned.  That process wasn’t completed until November.

All four of the men charged are free on bond and will appear in Blount County Circuit Court on Monday, December 9.
