SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. – Dark clouds, rain, lightning and thunder couldn’t deter those attending and participating in the WHOA/TWHBEA Academy show at the beautiful Waterfall Farms on March 15, 2008. Each Academy Show this year has been bigger and better than the last. This show was no exception with 215 entries gracing the ring. Carl Johnson opened the show with a beautiful rendition of the national anthem. Judging this 32-event show was Larry Martin.

WHOA and TWHBEA thank all of those who worked so hard to make this show a success, including David Pruett, Stan Butts and Lori Puckett from TWHBEA; Tommy Hall, Mark Taylor from WHOA; Harolene Willis, WHOA academy chairperson; and Patsy Newberry, Denise Rowland, Marcy Wilson, Buie Williams, David Williams and the staff at Waterfall Farms. Julie Lambert managed the concessions. A special thanks was given to Bill and Sandra Johnson for sharing their beautiful farm.

The next show will be held at the Calsonic Arena in Shelbyville, Tenn., on  Saturday, March 22, 2008, at 10 a.m. for the Academy Championships. Come out and support the future of the industry. For more information go to www.walkinghorseowners.com or www.twhbea.com. Complete results follow.
