WHR Online Has Record Year

The Walking Horse Report web site has continued to grow in popularity each year and 2013 set a record for page views and visits to www.WalkingHorseReport.com.  The addition of ReporTV over the past three years has increased traffic to the web site however the results, judges’ cards, news and message boards continue to be extremely popular.  In 2013, just under 200,000 videos were played from ReporTV, the highest in the three years of ReporTV.

In 2013, www.WalkingHorseReport.com had 890,052 unique visits to the web site resulting in over 5.3 million page views.  Unique visits were up 8.5% in 2013 versus 2012 and page views were up 2.6% over 2012.  In 2013, the policy for the message boards changed from allowing alias names to posting the registered name of the user of the web site.  Although the change in policy the message boards have remained popular with subscribers to the site.

The web site now has 17 years of show results in archive and those results are searchable by horse, rider, owner and judge since 2002.  With this large amount of past data, the stallion and progeny searches at Walking Horse Report have become vital to the success of breeders across the industry.

“We are proud of the success of the web site and continue to look for ways to improve the online experience of our loyal subscribers.  We have added live and archived video to our content and have utilized social media to expand the reach of the content available on the site.  We are excited in the increase in our traffic as it provides our advertisers and increase in value for their advertising dollar,” said Walking Horse Report Online Editor Kasi Hensley.
