WHTA Surpasses $100,000 Challenge
Monday, July 16, 2012
The Walking Horse Report has learned that the Walking Horse Trainers' Association has surpassed $100,000 in its fundraising efforts to help with the Enforcement Initiative. In passing $100,000, Randall and Sadie Baskin will match $100,000 to these efforts funded by the newly formed Tennessee Walking Show Horse Organization (TWSHO).
TWSHO is using fundraising to initiate the industry swabbing initiative, help fund legal costs to protect the rights of industry stakeholders and partner with Purple Strategies to communicate the reform efforts of the industry. The WHTA has now set the fundraising goal at $150,000 which with Baskins matching $100,000 would total $250,000. TWSHO has a goal of $1,000,000 for its initial fundraising.
