WHTA Youth Council Crisis Fund Is At Work

The WHTA Youth Council held their March meeting during the Trainers Show.  Over 16 members were in attendance and officers for 2008 were voted in.  The 2008 officers are as follows:

President:  Rachel Galeski
1st Vice President:  Lindsey Landrum
2nd Vice President:  Alexandria Holland
Board of Directors:  Meghan Davis, Thomas Derickson, Corey Green, Lindsay Hess, and Kaityln Strickland
The youth voted to give generously from their Youth Council Crisis Fund and a check is being sent to the children of the late WHTA member Ray Baldwin. Then after much discussion,  the youth decided that they felt it was very important to help TWHBEA during this time in our industry and proudly voted to send TWHBEA a check for $2000.00.
Other matters of business included reporting on the success of the Trainers vs. Trainers Basketball game. Also plans to have a 50/50 drawing and selling tickets and then drawing for the winning ticket during the Moneytree Classic Horse Show in July.
The next meeting will be in May during the Fun Show.
The meeting concluded by everyone staying and joining up with the TWHBEA Youth and having a pizza party.
