WHTA Youth Council Meeting

The WHTA Youth Council held a meeting on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, during the Alabama Jubilee Horse Show in Decatur, Ala. This group may be small, but the kids’ determination to help the industry and their community is mighty.

The WHTA Youth Council accomplishments this show season have been to support many shows with donations and class sponsorships. It was unanimously voted on to continue their support to the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. The group will send $1,500 to their long time charity at Christmas time.

Some of the WHTA Youth Council members are proudly displaying the new jackets that were purchased this year. All members can buy a jacket for $30. Contact Joyce Marie Green if you would like to order one.

The youth are looking forward to the WHTA banquet weekend, and then they will start working on the WHTA Youth Council Trainers vs. Trainers Basketball game to be held in February 2010.
