CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Al Miller Memorial Horse Show was held Oct. 10, 2009, at the Tri-Center Expo Center in Cleveland, Tenn. Dr. Jim Baum of Shelbyville, Tenn., handled the marking of the cards. This show is held in memory of the founder of the Walking Horse Boosters Club, Al Miller. On Thursday, Oct. 8, the club lost one of its members, Mrs. Virginia Miller. Mrs. Miller was the wife of the founding member, Al Miller, and helped put on numerous area horse shows including the Al Miller Memorial.

Approximately 122 entries answered the gate call. Five top entries were called in to the ring for the Walking Horse Stake. When Judge Baum got through marking his cards, Wired And Walking and Alan Price were called from the line up to receive the tricolor and title of the Al Miller Memorial Grand Champion.
