The Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration recently agreed to a naming rights deal with Cooper Steel, renaming the old Calsonic Arena to Cooper Steel Arena. The agreement will include a multi-million dollar renovation to the arena with work scheduled to begin in the coming days. |

The Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration recently hosted H&R Agri-Power along with representatives from Case IH Tractors, Bush Hog and Kubota. H&R Agri-Power is one of the largest partners at The Celebration and owner Wayne Hunt was in Shelbyville at Cooper Steel Arena for the lunch. |

The Spring Fun Show, scheduled for May 25-27, 2023 will accept entries online, beginning on May 21, 2023.Entries can be made online at entermywalkinghorse.com. Entries will be accepted each day of the showuntil 1:00 pm. The show office will be open daily during the show between 3:00 pm-5:00 pm, for those whowish to make entries in person. |

The Walking Horse Trainers Association presented donation checks to The Center for Family Development and The Tony Rice Center. Both non-profit organizations were chosen as charities for the 2023 National Trainer's Show that was held in March 2023 at the Cooper Steel Arena on the Celebration Show grounds. |

The Alabama Ladies Auxiliary Horse Show, scheduled for May 20, 2023, has added a class to their original schedule. Class 21A will be Amateur Owned & Trained. The show will be held at Baileyton Park in Baileyton, Alabama. Ryan Gannon will mark the cards for this year's event. |

On April 25, 2023 the United States Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) released a new five year strategic plan. As part of that plan, APHIS oversees the enforcement of the Horse Protection Act. The HPA is a very small part of the overall APHIS budget. |
