The Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration, Kim Lewis and Tom Gould filed a motion for summary judgment in the USDA’s rulemaking case in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas’ Amarillo Division. The motion was filed on Friday October 18, 2024. |

The TWHBEA Election Committee met yesterday and certified the results of this year’s election. The ballots were counted by Winnett Associates PLLC. 10 States/Regions elected directors to full three-year terms, with Michigan, Virginia, and Region 6 also electing directors for partial terms. |

The WHTA Annual Awards Dinner and Banquet will be held February 14-15, 2025 at Embassy Suites in Franklin, Tennessee. The deadline to receive a discounted room rate is January 8, 2025. |

Due to the devastation caused from Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the Walking Horse Owners Association (WHOA) has established a Disaster Relief Fund. This fund will be used toward the needs of victims from this tragic disaster. |

Linda Kay Candelaria Richards of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024 after battling cancer for nearly two years. Her absence is so very evident, but her life lives on, in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her. |

He’s A Top Gun was foaled on May 2, 2019. He was sired by General Gunn and out of Brookie, a Sky Command mare. He was bred and raised by Grider Farms of Columbia, Kentucky. Carolyn Evans of Eden, North Carolina, purchased him in the spring of 2021 and he was started by Derek Monahan at River View Stables of Ivanhoe, Virginia. |
