It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of multi-titled champion Pusher’s Beaming Pride, affectionately known as “Beeper,” at the age of 29.

Purchased by Jim and Debbie Nichols in 1999, Beeper quickly became synonymous with the Lite-Shod division during the early 2000s. Under the direction of Howard Hamilton at Southern Serenity Ranch, the talent captured the attention of the Walking Horse industry, winning major showcases across the country and amassing nearly 20 World and World Grand Championships.

Both Jim Nichols and Howard Hamilton shared saddle time aboard Beeper throughout his remarkable show career, adding championship after championship to his impressive résumé. His consistency, talent and presence in the ring made him one of the standout Lite-Shod horses of all time and a favorite among fans and exhibitors alike.

When his show career came to an end, Beeper traded the bright lights of the show ring for the peaceful trails of the Nichols family farm in New Market, Tennessee. There, he was treated like royalty by Jim and Debbie and enjoyed a well-earned retirement. Beeper became Debbie’s personal trail mount, carrying her countless miles and providing the Nichols family with years of treasured memories. While his accomplishments in the show ring cemented his place among the greats, his life after competition showcased another side of his remarkable character.

Beeper was a true testament to the versatility of the Tennessee Walking Horse. He was a champion under the lights, a trusted trail companion and, most importantly, a beloved member of the Nichols family. His legacy will live on not only through the many championships he earned, but through the memories he created with those fortunate enough to know and love him. After a life filled with success, companionship and devotion, Pusher’s Beaming Pride leaves behind a legacy worthy of a true champion.
