Equine Obituary - Woody Yes He Would
Monday, May 11, 2026

Woody Yes He Wood, affectionately known as “Woody,” passed away at the age of 23, leaving behind a legacy that will long be remembered by the many children, families and friends who loved him.
A celebrated pony, Woody was a Multi World Grand Champion with SSHBEA and NSSHA, the winningest spotted lead line pony, and the highest placed spotted pony at the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration. Throughout his remarkable career, Woody carried many young riders to the winner’s circle, earning countless blues with Jayden Jackson, Tinsley Tillman, Abi Smith, Dakoda Gardner, Boston Kate Tillman, Wylder Way and others who were blessed to sit on his back.
Woody was gifted to Jayden Jackson when she was just two-years-old. Fittingly, Woody was also two, and the two grew up together in and out of the show ring. He became Jayden’s first pony, the one who taught her confidence, courage and the magic of being loved by a pony. Together, they made memories that shaped a childhood and that will never fade.
Known for his talent, presence, and unmistakable personality, Woody could command attention in any ring. Whether in model classes, rail classes, lead line, or even on trail rides in the woods, he carried himself like the star he was. Yet his greatest gift was the gentle care he gave to children. He had a special way of making every little rider feel safe, important and loved.
Woody spent his later years adored by family, continuing to be a favorite on the farm and a beloved part of every child’s story who met him.
Woody was truly once in a lifetime. He was a kind and gentle servant, a champion, a teacher and a treasured friend. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
