Jimmy Higgins, 83, passed away Friday, April 17, 2026 at his home in Woodbury with his loving family by his side. Born in Cannon Co., he was the son of the late Brady and Lou Davis Warren Higgins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Glenn and David Higgins.

Mr. Higgins is survived by his loving wife and partner of 34 years, Connie Ary Higgins of Woodbury; 3 children, Kimberly Higgins Fann, Tommy (Sandra) Higgins and Tina Higgins Graves all of Woodbury; step daughter, Candace (Rob) Baker of Murfreesboro; 6 grandchildren, Jamie (April) Higgins, Eden Fann, Erin (Dustin) Toy, Ethan (Kailin) Graves, Emilee (Matthew) Young and Charlie Baker; 7 great grandchildren, Jayden, Hadley, Jacelyn, Hollyn, Haston, Gray and Sutton; brother, Steve (Karen) Higgins of Woodbury and sisters-in-law, Judy Higgins of The Villages, FL and Barbara Higgins of Woodbury. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Jimmy was a member of Woodbury Church of Christ and dedicated his life to entrepreneurship. He owned several businesses, including Higgins Livestock, Higgins Storage, Higgins Car Wash, Higgins Flea Market, and Higgins Moonlite Drive-In Movie Theater. Though he enjoyed many hobbies, Jimmy truly loved working. He and Connie shared a passion for travel, with their trip to Australia standing out as his favorite. Jimmy cherished playing cards like Rook with his family and always looked forward to family gatherings. Known for his sense of humor, he delighted in making others laugh as well. Above all, Jimmy’s mission in life was to ensure his family was cared for and that they felt loved after he was gone.

The Higgins family will receive friends Tuesday, April 21, 2026 from 2:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday, April 22, 2026 from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 22, 2026 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Herb Alsup, Bro. Tim Knox and Bro. Charles Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Higgins Family Cemetery. Pallbearers include, Jamie Higgins, Ethan Graves, Dustin Toy, Matthew Young, Tim George and Jeff West. Honorary pallbearers, Tim Higgins, Ted Higgins and Charlie Baker.
