Loretta M. Goforth, age 80, of Talbott, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a member of Alpha Baptist Church and retired from MAHLE. Loretta was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and Mam and will be dearly missed.

Loretta and her family are longtime supporters of the Tennessee Walking Horse industry. Her husband, Larry Goforth, is a farrier well known throughout the Walking Horse community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Vivian Northern; and sister, Patricia Evans. She is survived by her husband, Larry Goforth; daughters, Robyn Harvey Cox and Vikki Goforth; grandchildren, Kaleb (Sepi) Goforth, Ethan (Johan) Goforth, Joshua (Mia) Goforth, Victoria (Gregory) Williams, and Jordonn (Jessica) Harvey; brother, Eddie (Carol) Northern; several great-grandchildren; and several close friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, January 29th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Heath Smith officiating. A private family graveside will be held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
