Howard C. Creed, 83, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away September 19, 2017. He was born July 29, 1934, in Springfield, Missouri, and graduated Sr. High School in 1952.
He served in the Army where he learned his lifetime trade of horse shoeing, which he did for 57 years. Howard showed walking and gaited horses for over 20 years.
Howard is preceded in death by his parents: Pearl and Harvey Creed. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara; brother: Leon Creed; daughter: Teresa (Don) Jarvis; granddaughter: Monica (Eric) Fawcett; grandson: Tom (Kelsey Tennison) Myers; step grandchildren: Erin, Heather, and Chris Jarvis; and great-grandchildren: Finley, Landon, and Amelia Fawcett; along with many other family and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, 2001 West Walnut Lawn Street, Springfield, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Phoenix Hospice and the American Heart Association.
