The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ & Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) is proud to announce the second year of the Equestrian Star Program, an initiative designed to recognize and celebrate the rising stars of the Tennessee Walking Horse industry.
This exciting program honors young equestrians in grades 6–12 who demonstrate exceptional dedication, talent, and achievement in horsemanship, competition, and other industry milestones. Youth who meet eligibility requirements during the 2025 calendar year (January 1–December 31, 2025) are encouraged to submit their information for recognition.
The submission deadline is February 28, 2026, and TWHBEA encourages all qualified youth and families to submit their information as soon as possible to ensure awards can be delivered to schools in time for spring Honors and Awards Day programs.
The Equestrian Star Program invites youth who are passionate about the Tennessee Walking Horse breed to be recognized for their hard work and accomplishments. Successful applicants will receive a lapel pin and certificate, presented during their school’s Awards or Honors Day.
"We understand the significant time commitment involved in equestrian activities, and we want to ensure that these dedicated young athletes are acknowledged in the same way as their peers who excel in other sports and extracurricular activities," said Nicole Tolle, TWHBEA Youth Vice-President. "The Equestrian Star Program celebrates the perseverance and passion of our youth while motivating them to keep striving for excellence in all areas of their equestrian journey."
