SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. — Entries for the inaugural edition of The Prodigy will officially close today, Monday, June 1, 2026 at 5:00 PM CST.

Owners and trainers wishing to participate are encouraged to complete their entries before the deadline through HorseSpot.

The Prodigy is designed to showcase the hand-selected best Two-Year-Old Tennessee Walking Horses from across the industry. These young contenders have been carefully prepared and saved for this moment, making the 2026 class one of the most anticipated groups of young horses in recent history.

Just earning a place on The Prodigy roster marks the beginning of a horse’s legacy, representing the confidence owners and trainers have in their young stars.

The inaugural class will compete for a total purse of $50,000, including a $5,000 Filly Bonus awarded to the highest placing filly.

The entry fee is $500. Winnings will be distributed 60% to the recorded owner with TWHBEA and 40% to the listed trainer. Participants are encouraged to ensure ownership records are properly updated prior to entry.
