press release from TWHBEA

TWHBEA introduced the World Series Program at the beginning of 2016. For anyone planning on showing at the World Series Versatility Championship Show (formally the World Versatility Show, only versatility classes) July 21-22 2016 at the Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro, TN or the World Series Championship (only rail classes) August 20th 2016 at the Calsonic Arena in Shelbyville, TN you must show your horse at one TWHBEA World Series Regional Qualifying Show before the dates of the show.

If you’re an exhibitor you must qualify your horse at one Regional Show to be eligible. This goes for the horse only. Any rider can enter the horse to make it qualify.

The qualifying show does not have to be affiliated with any group/HIO in order to be a World Series Regional Qualifying Show. All 4-H, Country Boy Shows, All Breed Shows can count as long as they provide the classes that are mandatory. These classes are listed on the form that has to be sent in.

All a show has to do to be a Qualified Regional Show is:

  • Pay the $50 affiliation fee (this will be paid out as prize money at the Championship Show)
  • Use TWHBEA World Series Logo on show bill
  • Abide by TWHBEA rules and regulations
  • Provide a show schedule to TWHBEA 30 days prior to show **call if date of show is sooner
  • Submit show results to TWHBEA within 14 days of the show
  • Provide a minimum of 3 rail classes and 3 versatility classes

If there is a show in your area, fill out the World Series Qualifying Show Form and pay the $50 to get it affiliated! That way you are covered to show at both TWHBEA World Series Versatility and Championship Shows!! TWHBEA is trying its very best to make this new program as easy as possible for all exhibitors and show managers. Lets help shows in your area by drawing more exhibitors and participation and help TWHBEA members.

Any Qualifying Show after August 21st 2016 will qualify for the 2017 year and will be point based. A minimum of 15 points for rail classes and 30 points for versatility classes must be earned each year. Placement and points are as follows: 1st place = 10 points, 2nd place = 9 points, 3rd place =8 points, 7th place = 4 points, 8th place = 3 points, 9th place =2 points and 10th place = 1 point.
