SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. - Steve Beech, a long-time Marshall County horseman, entered “best interest” pleas to charges of horse theft in Bedford and Putnam Counties. He was placed on diversion and his three-year, concurrent sentences on probation. If he meets all probation conditions, his record will be expunged. Beech is the son of the legendary late S.W. Beech, operator of one of the premier Tennessee Walking Horse breeding operations in the industry. The younger Beech stood Pride’s Generator at his farm for many years. Beech was charged in Marshall County with stealing a spotted mare and foal from Alicia Crane. In Putnam County, Beech pled to stealing a pair of registered walking horses valued at over $10,000 from Joe Weaver.
