House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) is continuing to conduct oversight of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) enforcement of the Horse Protection Act (HPA) and its promulgation of a final rule titled Horse Protection Amendments.

After consulting with the WNC Ag Center personnel and a review of the situation in Western North Carolina, the WNC Ag Center and the Executive Committee have reached the decision to cancel the North Carolina Championship, scheduled for next weekend.
