Obituary - James Robert "Bob" Nelms

Mr. James Robert “Bob” Nelms, age 67, of College Grove, Tennessee, died Monday, September 18, 2017 at his home in College Grove. Mr. Nelms was born in Marshall County, a member of the Presbyterian Church, and was an equipment operator in the construction industry. He had a love of horses and was an avid horseman. Mr. Nelms was preceded in death by his father, James Thurman Nelms and an uncle, Paul Nelms.
Mr. Nelms is survived by his wife of 39 years, Becky Nelms, College Grove, Tennessee; sons, Robert (Amanda) Nelms, College Grove, TN, Jesse (Megan) Nelms, Chapel Hill, TN; mother, Martha Nelms, College Grove, TN; sister, Cindy (Mike) Dill, Franklin, TN; grandchildren, Kayrin, Riley, Peyton, Savannah, and Allie; great grandchildren, Adley Rae, and Walker; niece, Dawn Dill (Jimmy), Kentucky.
Family members will receive friends on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Joel Musgrave officiating. Burial will follow in Triune Cemetery in Triune, TN.
