Celebration Mourns Loss Of Former Director



SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration, is mourning the loss of former director Bill Daniel.  Daniel, 84, passed away on May 2, 2007 at Bedford Medical Center.

Daniel was a member of the Celebration Board of Directors from 1988-1992.

“Bill was a one-of-a-kind fellow,” said Celebration CEO Ron Thomas.  “His service to the Celebration board and to our community will long be remembered.  In particular, I appreciate his counsel and advice.”

Funeral services for Mr. Daniel will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Fairlane Church of Christ, where he was a member and former elder, with Russ Countess and Geoff Giesemann officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel.
