Charter Updates Live Feed Disruption
Saturday, August 25, 2007
On Wednesday, August 22, 2007, for the 9 am morning session, Charter Media's streaming provider had a server failure. Charter Media had a backup solution and link available within thirty minutes of the beginning of the show. The alternate server and link remained in place for the remainder of the day providing anyone with free access.
That night at 7:20, we experienced problems with our Charter Communications internet connection for two hours. It was late in the last class when it came back online and we did not have enought time to restart the stream before it had ended. Refunds for individual purchases of the Wednesday show have already been processed.
On Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 6:57 pm we experienced another disruption with our internet connection for more than three hours. We resumed streaming at 10:30 pm until the show ended near midnight.
Charter Communications will have technicians onsite on Friday, August 25, 2007, to monitor our service and expedite our ability to resume streaming should we encounter any further problems.
Refunds for Thursday's show are in progress. Please allow 24-48 hours for processing. All access passes will be given pro-rated refunds and will be processed at the end of the Celebration. Charter Media will also be making both Wednesday and Thursday performances available for free to the public via their website, www.yourmainstreet.com by Sunday, August 27.
