Christopher Leon Patton (Fleecy), age 89, of Tuscaloosa died August 23, 2014 at his home. Private graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Reverend Allen Atkins officiating.
He was joined in death by his wife, Mary Alice Patton. He was preceded in death by his parents Crisp and Leone Patton, his brother, Dr. Frank Patton, his sisters Margaret Patton Williamson and Christine Patton Chancey. He was also preceded in death by his sons, Christopher Charles Patton and Stephen Harold Patton.
Survivors include his brother Park Patton (Carolyn) and his son Christopher Leon Patton, Jr. (Sherry), grandson Chase Patton (Terri) and granddaughter Taylor Patton.
Fleecy was a member of the United States Army Air Force during World War II. He was an avid horseman and enjoyed showing Tennessee Walking horses throughout the South. His career spanned over 30 years in the lumber business at Newton Lumber Company.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are made to Hospice of West Alabama, 3851 Loop Road, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35404
